Hey! 👋
I'm a developer from Belgium focused on modern web development. My expertise lies in frontend development with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, but I'm increasingly moving towards fullstack development using tools like Supabase, Appwrite, and Hono.js. I find it fascinating to see how frameworks like Next.js continue to evolve.
My background in the legal sector has given me a unique perspective on technical challenges. Now I work at the Department of Justice where I can apply my technical skills to projects with real impact and societal value.
The constant evolution in tech is what makes it so interesting for me. I enjoy experimenting with new tools and frameworks, and try to apply that knowledge in my projects.
The combination of legal knowledge and technical skills provides a fresh perspective on complex problems. At Justice, I use this experience to develop new, innovative solutions.
Always interested in a good conversation about tech, innovation in the public sector, or new developments in web development.
Experience
Assistance with computer problems, implementing solutions within SharePoint. Development of internal and external websites and applications.
Mainly worked on the frontend during the rebranding of sparonline.be, also made websites, examples of this are the public site of LegalSquare, and Gronddepot. I also worked on parts of the frontend of LegalSquare itself and also took care of the marketing on LinkedIn. In addition, I also wrote E2E tests with Playwright for multiple projects.
Projects
These are projects I have designed and developed in my free time.
Legal tools
Here I have created two tools. The first calculates the lump sum compensation in accordance with the law of May 4, 2023 in connection with the collection of consumer debts. In addition, I have created a second tool that can draw up a claim. After entering invoices, the interest is calculated, among other things. Based on these calculations, useful overviews are then generated that you can easily export. Both tools are offered via GDW SCHEIR.
GDW SCHEIR public website
I have designed and developed the website of the bailiff office GDW Scheir. The website contains the aforementioned tools, a glossary and a blog.
RPV Calculator
A tool that displays the correct legal fee based on a principal sum.
Ghent parking information
An overview of parking data for the Ghent parking lots
Tailwind unit conversion tool
A tool to speed up my own development.
